PPOC-SK Mission Statement
- provide unity through education and fellowship;
- represent the provincial photographic profession when dealing with legal matters, government agencies, or legislation;
- recognize imaging excellence through print show competitions, presentations of merits, awards, and professional recognition;
- to publish a professional online magazine in order to provide international communication to its members.
History of the Association
- The Saskatchewan Professional Photographer's Association (SPPA) was chartered in 1965 as a non-profit organization;
- The membership consisted of approximately forty photographers from all over the province;
- SPPA became an affiliate of the Professional Photographers of America (PPA);
- 1970 became a Charter Member of Professional Photographers of Canada (PPOC);
- The main goal of our Association is to educate the members, hold an annual seminar and print show, and to be the official voice for our members;
- Currently SPPA has about 110 members in six different categories.
