Inspired Vision Educational Weekend and Awards Gala in Oromocto, November 2-3, 2019.
What a fantastic weekend we had at our Inspired Vision Educational Weekend and Awards Gala in Oromocto, November 2-3, 2019.
Victoria of Victoria West Portrait was so generous in donating the use of her fabulous studio space for the event. I’m sure we all took away some great new tools for our photoshop compositing toolbox from her presentation.
Later on, we had a gorgeous spread of vegan snacks from Holly of
Holly's Vegan Kitchen. The brownies were TO DIE FOR, and I’m already craving more of the cashew “cheese” dip.
Thanks to Berni Wood of Reel Media Studio for introducing all the speakers and emceeing the awards night. Our Atlantic Chair, Cindy Duclos of Cindy Duclos Photography handed out lapel pins to recognize our long-time members. Bruce Berry received his 45-year pin! Krista of Krista Powers Photography received her Service Award for all that she does for PPOC.
Next, Image Salon Chair Jamie Bard-Dube of Bard Photography presented the awards from this year’s Regional Image Competition (more to come on that!). Thanks to Technicare Imaging for sponsoring our trophies!
On day 2, we started out with Brent McCombs of AlterEgo Photography presenting on planning a fashion editorial shoot. Brent’s tips on problem solving and preparation were priceless to photographers in any genre.
Finally, we wrapped up our weekend with Cindi-Lee Campbell’s adorable workshop on photographing a litter of puppies. It was a privilege to learn the secrets of how she puts together her epic puppy composites, and she had lots of useful tips for handling and posing dogs. The beautiful Dalmatian puppies were supplied by Carola Adams of Dutch Kennels.
Lastly, thanks to our amazing Professional Photographers of Canada National Chair, Louise Vessey of Vessey Studio for taking so many great photos of the event!
